2006-09-19 - 10:58 a.m. Let's see...the weekend...what did I do? I wonder that myself. Friday night I sat at home and vegged. I watched two movies, "TransAmerica" which was fabulous and "Dark Water" which was not so fabulous. Not as creepy as it could have been, oh well. Saturday I spent the day doing some much needed housework and yard work. So much yard work that I managed to wear a blister on my hand--even wearing gloves. ouch. I also got sunburned. It was glorious. It's time to soak up all the sun I can, since it's getting to be that time of the year. Saturday night I took off to play a bagpipe job. It was for a spiritual retreat and I was a "surprise" for the pilgrims that were doing it. I played "Amazing Grace" about 14 times before it was all over. It was a beautiful night and I really enjoyed it--it also helps that I got paid $175 to do it. Sunday I had a shopping extravaganza at the craft store and the fabric store. I need some new garb and I need to do more crafts. Let's just say, "there went the money from the night before". That's ok though, it was fun and now I have tons of procrastination time before I make a new dress. Last night was our second band practice. I've got a couple of solos that are going to need some practice (eek!) I've also got to come up with something to wear for the concert in October. It's a Western theme...and all my boots are far from being cowboy-ish.
