2006-09-08 - 4:34 p.m. Yeah, yeah, I know I said I would update about the Con...but shit happens and it looks like I better do the "best/worst" thing. So... DragonCon '06 Bests-- --spending the weekend with great friends --seeing the "Bodies" exhibit in ATL, it was terribly cool --meeting new and interesting people --getting to wear corsets --seeing my fav band "The Cruxshadows"! --being told by a total stranger that we have bodies like "Sistahs" (still not sure how to take that) --people watching galore! --seeing and meeting the TAPS guys! --relatively good elevator experiences (in the grand scheme of things) --dressing up with C & S as the "Absolutely Fabulous" ladies (hint: I was Patsy) and having people not only recognize who were were, but buying us drinks too! Worsts-- --catching the Con Crud --not getting enough sleep (I know, it's to be expected) --seeing "The Ex" --not getting to every panel and concert I wanted to get to (yes, that's to be expected to) --getting stuck outside in the rain 6 blocks from the hotel --having a near-miss migraine, and stomach spooge. --reaching my limit of being around too many damn people I would have to say many more "bests" than "worsts" though there are others I just won't mention. I do believe a good time was had by all. this weekend will be much more low-key (god I hope so, I couldn't do that two in a row) I think I'm going to the fair tomorrow if my crud doesn't do me in beforehand. Other than that, it's just some time to vegitate for awhile. YAY! Community Band starts back on Monday, so I really need to enjoy my free time while I have it. Have a good one!
