2006-09-06 - 4:34 p.m. Dang. Haven't done this in awhile and there's so VERY MUCH to tell. I may have to take it in installments, but we shall see. First of all, the Con was awesome! Had a great time, although I over did it and now have the Con Crud. I am pissed. No amount of Vitamins, airborne, hand sanitizer, etc. seemed to ward it off. I think it might be just a given that you get something when you're around 30,000 different people. Fortunately, it's mainly manifested itself as a wicked sore throat and not a sinus thing...for the moment (knock on wood, eh?) I thought about laying out of work today, but nope...too much crap to get done and aspirin and other stuff is keeping me going. I've also had enough green tea today to float a chinese junk...and to make me go pee every 20 minutes practically. eek! My birthday was this past Monday and I guess I should tell about that a little. Spent a good part of it in the trip back from ATL, got home and got pissed off. Mostly because I was too tired, but because someone had decided to clean the upstairs carpet and moved EVERYTHING into my bedroom so I couldn't get to my bed. I had to move everything back out myself, THEN start the unpacking procedure. Also (this is gross) people had not maintained the litter box as it should have been, so I had to take care of that as well. sigh and ick. I was not pleased in the least--happy freakin' birthday, ya know?--anyway, it did get better. I took a nap, we went out and got burgers for dinner, then rented a really good movie. HBO's "Elizabeth I" rocked the house completely. I was soooo jealous of all the spectacular clothes it wasn't funny. Thought they did a great job and I can see why it won a pile of Emmy's. I just may have to own it. Anyway, that's enough for today. I'll share Con experiences later, but for now I'm done. later!
