2006-08-01 - 5:10 p.m. Not a lot going on today. I had a friend drive up from Charlotte today and we got to go to lunch. Great to spend some time with her, but damn...did they have to decide to jack-hammer the kitchen of the restaurant at the same time? Holy smokes. Our conversation took place during the intervals of silence that happened between loud, grinding noises. just nice. We had our last Summer Reading Program to-do this afternoon. I'm glad it's over, it's always a big production and it's always crazy. I mowed the lawn last night. It was hot. I watched "The Chronicles of Narnia" after I took a shower. I liked it quite a bit and now I want to be The White Witch for DragonCon. Of course, I don't actually have time to make that outfit and grow dred-locks. So, I guess that nukes that idea. I've got book club tonight and I hope people remember to come. I'm very happy to say that I finished our book, "Big Stone Gap" yesterday and I'm not sweating to finish it at the last minute. yay. Well, that's it for me today. Yep, I know...boring.
