2006-07-17 - 10:52 a.m. Holy Crap, I'm starving again. I had a nice bowl of cereal for breakfast, so why the hell am I feeling like I'm going to chew off my left arm? And no, drinking a bunch of water to "fill me up" just doesn't do it. I just makes me all sloshy and still hungry. Then I'll have to pee all day. Anyway, here's my update for the weekend... Friday night I went out with a ton of people to eat Mexican food. (yumm...) The Mariachi band graced us with their presence while we were waiting for everyone to show up. We were early so we could drink fruity drinks with tequila. I was somehow coerced into getting up and dancing the macarena (no, I don't know how to spell it) with a couple of other people in our little area of tables. I tried to say "no", but the dude wouldn't take the answer...so I danced. oh goody. I tried to be a good sport, blah, blah, blah. THEN after we were eating...they came back...and I had to do it yet AGAIN! just great. I thought that perhaps I had paid my dues the first time around, but...no, I was yet singled out. Must be the blond hair thing again. I survived. Saturday morning I had a big dress rehearsal for our Concert on Sunday. Went pretty well and I got home around 1:00. I really just wanted to be a homebody the rest of the day, but that was not to be! I recently re-connected with an old friend and she had invited us (Rhi, I, Emer and myself) over for a pool party. We were to have grilled out food, swim in the pool, get in the hot tub and hang out. She invited a few other friends as well. Did I mention that she's a lesbian and that all of her other friends are lesbians? nope. Well, it's true. It was a rather interesting evening. Everyone was very nice, except when her ex (whom she owns the house with) proceeded to put in the DVD of the cruise they had taken recently. The cruise that was to help their ailing relationship. We sat and watched part of it with them, including her ex's new lover. Fun times, eh? drama city. Fortunately we had mentioned going to the movies earlier and we decided to bail and she went with us. Out the door we all went and headed off to see "Pirates 2". I really liked it, it was fun and silly, but they might have shortened a few scenes. Anyhoo, didn't get home until after midnight, but it was definitely an interesting day. Sunday, I kind of just hung out until time to get ready for my concert. The concert went well, except for a couple a places, but that's to be expected. But no biggie. It's been a blast as usual, but I'll be happy to have a few weeks without quite so many obligations. Now, I'm still starving...dang. But it *is* a bit closer to lunch time.
