2006-06-28 - 11:24 a.m. Last night was a real treat. I went home and stayed there. I didn't do a damn thing except watch "Jarhead" which I really liked. Tonight we start rehearsals for our next Orchestra concert. I took a liitle gander at the music and it looks like a lot of fun. Not too hard, not too easy and some good pieces. Can we say "Star Trek through the Years"? whoo-hoo! That is going to be a blast to play. I also need to go to the grocery store, but that will have to take place after rehearsal. I hope I can make it home in time to see the new "Blade" series that starts tonight on Spike. I'm curious about it even though it will be different without Mr. Snipes. I found out yesterday that a friend had a tragedy in the family. Her little sister's husband blew his brains out right in front her (the sister, not my friend) He did it in their bedroom and they've only been married 4 months. She's already had a bit of bad in her life and now for this to happen too...jeez. I also found out that a long-time acquaintance died yesterday too. I've known this guy for almost 20 years from various and sundry Sci-fi Cons and from mutual friends. We used to go to parties with him had his girlfriend and a mad group of people. He was probably around 45 and had a massive heart attack. damn. Makes you think a bit, ya know?
