2006-06-08 - 12:33 p.m. It's Thursday again...isn't Thursday just a weird day? One day away from the weekend, but it kind of just sits there, ya know? A sort of non-entity. Anyway, to update a bit... I got my tooth fixed, at least, I hope so. He ground it down a bit and it finally feels like it's supposed to be there. It's still sore as hell though, but that's to be expected. I'm grateful that it's been corrected though, it was quite worrisome. Last night was my first Summer Orchestra rehearsal. I've been with the group since it's inception about 13/14 years ago (I can't remember) It takes place at a groovy little church downtown and it's a blast! They had to cancel last years season though, due to major renovations being done to the building. May I just say how freakin' beautiful it is now? Gorgeous...yet, still groovy. It was wonderful to see everyone after all this time. We've had most of the same group of wind players the whole time and I've gotten quite fond of most of them. Several of us play in the Community Band together, but a few don't. It's always nice to see them. Anyhoo, looks like it'll be a nice program this time. We've got some great music and it sounded pretty darn good. It's always been a big part of my Summer and I'm glad to have it back. I'm taking half the day off tomorrow to go tool around town. I was taking off the whole day, but I've got a supervisor's mtg. I really can't miss. We haven't had one in 2 months and it would be bad of me to skip out. The weekend shall be busy too. I've got a piping gig Saturday morning, then myself and friends are piling into my car to make the journey to Charlotte. It shall be glorious. We're going to see Nine Inch Nails with Bauhaus opening for them. Of course it's supposed to be hotter than hell in Charlotte on Saturday...I'm afraid my eyeliner might run. eeeek! Hopefully tomorrow I can spend some time at the Goodwill looking for that *perfect outfit* to wear. hmmmm...I guess velvet might be out this time. darn.
