Happy Beltane! I can't believe it's here already.

The weekend was...peaceful. Hung out at home most of the time, which was nice. I went out with Mom on Saturday to the NC Arboretum so she could attend a lecture on Hydrangeas. I walked around and took photos of cool plants with the new camera...until the battery died. I also sat around and read my book. See? peaceful. We were there for almost two hours, but it was really nice for some "alone" time. I need to go there more often.

The rest of the day I worked on some promissory scrolls and read my book. I also watched "The Forgotten". Not bad, as it wasn't what I was expecting. Of course, I'm not exactly sure what I *was* expecting, but it wasn't bad.

Yesterday a few of us went to see "Silent Hill" at the matinee. Thank goodness it was the matinee. I won't say it was a bad movie, but it did trudge along there for a bit. There was some good gore, a'la-"Hellraiser" and a few other borrowed parts. (he-he, I said "Parts") There was some good atmospheric stuff too. However it did take till nearly the end of the movie for them to give us some backstory. Most of the time you just waited to see if you could piece it together on your own, but it wasn't happening for me. Anyway, other than being a tad sloooow, it wasn't the worst thing I've ever seen.

Now I'm looking forward to "An American Haunting" which comes out this weekend...at least I hope it makes it to Ashe-vegas this weekend. We shall see.

Now I must commence my week...
Happy May Day! I hope it's Merry!
