2006-04-21 - 2:56 p.m. So the weekend is almost upon us...again. The parental units and I are headed to Winston-Salem to spend the night with my Bro and family. The big plan was to take my nephew to the NC zoo tomorrow and have a big 'ol time for his birthday. Yes, his birthday was a couple of weeks ago, but that's irrelevant. Anyways, the big weather report is saying strong storms tomorrow in that neck of the woods. oh goody. I was really psyched to go to the zoo. Not to just see how my nephew reacts to the animals, but because I, myself, really love zoos too. I shall be uber-disappointed if we don't get to go. And it's Earth Day, so they're planning on having a big hootenanny at the zoo on top of it just being "the zoo". I shall bring a rain coat and an umbrella in the off chance that it's not pouring water from the sky and zinging electricity too. Cross your fingers for me...but I'm not going to count my chickens.
