2006-04-20 - 10:52 a.m. Is it Thursday already? who would have guessed. Let's see, what interesting things have happened to me so far this week... We had Easter. My little choir made it through their Cantata just fine and did a pretty good job of it too. We had the family over for Easter lunch. This included a couple of friends from church who are not family, but they brought their two year old (the one that stayed overnight with us) and so we got to hide eggs for her. Now *that* was fun. We had made a few "real" ones and she pretty much smashed them to bits, which was hysterical. I was glad, however, when 4 o'clock rolled around and everyone vacated. It was about time. I did book deliveries on Monday. I have to say that as much as I like doing this, it's getting to be a tad expensive. Gas here is about $2.90 a gallon and I'm starting to think about going every 6 weeks and not once a month. Something to think about. The fun thing about my delivery on Monday as getting stuck behind a couple of wild turkeys walking up the road. There they were, standing in the middle of the road minding their own business when I drove along. They looked at me, turned up the road and proceeded to trot. Yep, it was an honest to god "turkey trot"...in the middle of the freakin' road. I proceeded behind them at a modest 1/2 mile and hour. They looked at me again. They trotted. They finally took wing and flew off the side of the road into the woods. I was grateful, but it was still damn amusing. I also had to stop briefly during my journey to allow a snake to pass. Not at the same time as the turkeys though, Mr. Snake would have been lunch. I just love wildlife! The other interesting thing I did this week was make a "big ticket item" purchase. I finally broke down and bought a really groovy digital camera. I have a feeling I'm going to be dangerous now. No one will be safe from my photographic prowling! Hey, I can dream, can't I?
