2006-04-06 - 11:23 a.m. What an interesting day so far. I had a call early this morning from the dry cleaners. I dropped my cloak off there yesterday to have the muck and cat hair removed and to make it smell nice again. Well. They say they can't clean anything that doesn't have a care label. WTF? It's homemade you assholes, care labels normally don't come on homemade shit. AND it's been cleaned by cleaners before, just not these folks. Anyway, they said they would clean it, but I have to come by and sign a waiver before they will do it. sheesh. I will do this, even though I think it's stupid. I don't think it should go in the washing machine, so... Oh well. They actually were nice about it, so I'll give them that. It's just weird. Well, they better get used to it, since I seem to own a lot of strange homemade items. Secondly, the Friends of the Library are here to set up for the Spring Booksale today. Eee-gads! What a pain they are! Yes, they do a lot of nice things for us, but there's one guy who thinks he knows what's best for all. Today he wanted to remove all the chairs that are in the meeting room (where the sale is) and stack them up in our office. Now our office does not have the room for it, and we would have no where to walk if he did it, but he seemed to get a bit pissed off when I told him no. Ahhhh!!! I told him if they wanted them moved from the corner they are in so badly, they could cart the lot of them back to the storage room where the books are stored. Maybe that will make them decide that they are fine just where they are. maybe. Thirdly, I have an appointment at the eye doctor today. Just the routine checkup, but I intend to order myself some new glasses today. I'm very excited about this, since I haven't had a new pair in about 10 years. Yay! I realized the other day that I couldn't see so hot out of them and that it was time to go for it. Hopefully they will have an uber-stylish pair that will not be too expensive. I'm really looking forward to it, can you tell? Fourthly, it's 11:30 and I'm starving again. Time to go find a snack of some sort...
